Director of Organisational Development
Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust

Biography

Sarah joined the NHS in 2002 as a graduate general management trainee and spent the first five years of her career working in operational management across acute, mental health and specialist services. This also included a period spent in Sydney, Australia working with the Aboriginal population to design culturally-appropriate mental health services.

In 2007, she left the NHS to join KPMG and spent over five years predominantly supporting NHS clients with their challenges, ranging from cost improvement and strategy development, through to latterly leading KPMGs health economy redesign work.

Sarah returned to the NHS in 2013 as an executive board member of a mental health and community trust leading on HR, OD and business development. In 2014, she joined the Department of Health to lead the Dalton Review, which examined options and opportunities for providers and introduced the concept of groups to the NHS. It was published alongside the Five Year Forward View in December 2014.

After the Dalton Review was published, Sarah joined Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust as director of organisational development, working closely with the board to lead on their strategic development of the GSTT Group model.
