Biography

Joanna joined GGI as a Senior Consultant in September 2021. She previously worked at PwC for over 30 years, where she specialised in providing assurance services to public sector and not-for-profit bodies, specialising in the NHS and Higher Education.

Joanna’s experience includes internal and external audit, governance reviews (including well-led reviews in the NHS), risk management reviews, due diligence and investigations. She has considerable experience of working with boards, including board training and development on risk management and governance, and workshops to facilitate agreement of strategic objectives and risks.

She is skilled in building relationships and developing networks, and in using these effectively. She relishes challenges and enjoys developing solutions to solve complex problems.

Joanna is an honorary fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), in recognition of her contribution to the organisation as past chair of the East Midlands branch. She is an experienced charity trustee, including at a large hospice, and has been Chair of Governors at a large primary school in a relatively deprived urban area.

Joanna is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has an MA in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
