Governance reviews

Effective audit and governance oversight is a fundamental element of good governance and a critical element of ensuring that public bodies are able to function effectively, safely and in the public interest.

GGI has supported public purpose organisations across health and care, local government, housing and education to test and develop their governance effectiveness for over 14 years. We have developed a high-value and cost-effective methodology to test the efficacy and impact of audit and governance committees and to provide constructive insight into improvement and development opportunities.

If the team at the top—at the interface between political and professional leadership—is not functioning effectively, then optimising performance elsewhere in the organisation becomes much more difficult. Strategic support

In the midst of near continuous change, councils can be prone to a lack of strategic alignment. While the cabinet may be very clear about strategy, often the capacity and capability of the organisation to execute that strategy is either misaligned or absent altogether.
