Something we’ve learned from our 2021 Festival of Governance is that intelligent systems can be made to focus on whatever we want them to. If we’re looking to maximise the benefits of competition between organisations, they can be made to do that. But they can also be refocused on the health and wellbeing of citizens. That’s what needs to be happening right now.

After an all-virtual Festival of Governance in 2020, this year we’re once again able to enjoy the alchemy that takes place when a diverse group of people come together and simply start talking to each other.

Not all is fair – 23 August 2021

On 1 April this year, Julie Bolus, a dear friend to GGI and a valued colleague, sadly passed away. Julie was much admired and respected in the NHS throughout her career as a nurse, executive director and non-executive director, and we are pleased to honour her legacy with the GGI Rising Star nursing award.
