Maurizio joined GGI as a junior consultant in April 2025. He previously worked in Brussels for a pan-European political youth organisation. Over the past three years, he has represented the UK youth voluntary sector on an international scale, serving as the British Youth Council's chief international spokesperson for Europe. During this time, he has also been elected and appointed to various institutional roles, including positions within the Council of Europe and the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC).
Through these experiences, along with his efforts in Spring 2024 co-leading a UK-wide initiative to rescue the British Youth Council from insolvency, Maurizio has developed a keen understanding of civil society and the challenges facing the sector.
Maurizio holds an MA in United States Foreign Policy and a BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Law, both from the University of Warwick. He is a recipient of two academic excellence postgraduate scholarships and was awarded the Princess Diana Award in 2024 for his humanitarian and social action work.
When he is not volunteering in his spare time, Maurizio can often be found reading the latest political autobiography or baking something sweet.
