Dr Minoo Irani is a retired consultant paediatrician with medical qualifications from the UK, India and the United States and a master’s in healthcare management from Imperial College London. He has held several leadership roles in the NHS and retired from his executive medical director role at Berkshire Healthcare after nine years, in March 2025.

Minoo is currently non-executive director at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust and has experience of being a partner member on the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire & Berkshire West ICB. He has also worked as NHS Trust partner member on the Health Innovation Network (Oxford & Thames Valley) board with a focus on community involvement and workforce innovation.

Minoo has extensive experience of medical management, appraisal and revalidation, professional regulation, service reviews for quality, safety and effectiveness and leading on complex projects in healthcare. He has led on initiatives to reduce health inequalities in the population and has been an advocate for integrated healthcare long before it was NHS policy, with publications and national level presentations on the topic. From his clinical and leadership roles over the past 30 years, Minoo’s expertise covers hospital, community and mental health organisations and services.
