Dr Rekha Elaswarapu has over fifteen years of experience in the health and social care industry, both in policy and regulation as well as research. Rekha’s wealth of knowledge of the statutory, voluntary and academic sector allows her to provide joined up solutions for quality improvement in the delivery of health and social care.
Rekha currently holds a wide array of roles including acting as a senior policy advisor specialising in older people, nutrition and hydration, dignity and privacy, end of life, long term conditions, user voice and age discrimination with significant experience of government liaison. She remains an Associate for Carers UK where she acts as a key player in the development of many national strategies such as Carers Strategy, Stroke Strategy, Nutrition Action Plan and Dignity campaign. Rekha is heavily involved in her local area of Ealing where in addition to being the trustee of Healthwatch Ealing she is also a trustee of AgeUK Ealing and Ealing CVS.
She has particular skills in policy briefing for senior management including Chair and Chief Executive, facilitating and managing the delivery of joined up solutions, creating stakeholder networks across organisations and helping develop the relationship management of public and patient management.
She has been a keynote speaker at many health and social care events and has presented very widely both nationally and internationally.
