Laura Botea

Director of Corporate Affairs



Laura joined the Good Governance Institute in November 2015 and is GGI’s Director of Corporate Affairs.

Laura started at GGI as a research and policy analyst and was previously senior programme delivery manager, quality development manager and more recently programmes director – before moving into her current role.

Over her six years with GGI Laura has worked on more than 30 assignments across England, Scotland, Wales and the Channel Islands, mostly within the healthcare sector. She has also worked on the delivery of several projects in higher education and the third sector. Her role at GGI is also inwardly focused on internal governance, programme delivery and finance.

Before joining GGI, Laura completed a BA in modern European studies at The University of Nottingham, followed by an MSc in European and comparative social policy at The London School of Economics and Political Science.

She held editorial and research positions in Romania, France and England during her studies and briefly worked as an English teacher in Vietnam before permanently moving to the UK.
