Biography

Jackie is a chartered accountant, chartered tax advisor and experienced business advisor with more than 35 years of professional services experience. Her career includes 23 years at KPMG – 11 as a partner – followed by seven years as head of tax and office managing partner for a regional firm.

During her career Jackie has provided business and tax advice for a wide range of entities, working with PLCs, private equity, inward investors, high net worth individuals and SMEs across a range of sectors, both private and public. She has advised a wide range of boards on tax, structuring, strategy, risk management and governance including operational restructuring and dispute mitigation.

Jackie’s career combines commercial, accounting, auditing and tax backgrounds with boardroom experience to offer constructive challenge and strategic advice, often challenging businesses to consider what they will look like in the future and how to maximise potential.

She has advised clients and teams in many industries, including retail, manufacturing, automotive, property, not-for-profit, transport and the public sector. She is passionate about supporting local communities and bringing people together to build capacity and opportunity and has been involved with a number of schools and charities.

Jackie has been a non-executive director at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust since 2018 and sits on its audit, clinical quality, and executive remuneration committees. Before this she was a NED at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust before its merger by acquisition with UHB.
