There are clear skills, competencies, behaviours and experience required in a director and GGI offers 360s, skills reviews and individual director development through coaching and mentoring.
Our 360 instrument has been developed on from the work of the Appointments’ Commission. It is a web-based tool supported by expert facilitation from our most senior associates. The results of the 360 are then fed back to the individuals concerned in a one-on-one coaching session with one of our associates. Boards can agree to share results and use the individual 360 reports that GGI provides as part of the Chair’s of chief executive’s annual appraisal of individual directors.
The skills review is often done in combination with the 360, and is a stock-take of the skills a board has, as well as technical and vocational experience. You will get both individual and anonymised whole-board reports, linked to a development plan. The results are fed back on an individual basis to each director, and in summary to the whole board at a facilitated session.
