Clinical Research Networks

GGI is delighted to announce that we have been appointed to work with the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) to develop guidance on the governance of clinical research networks.

The GGI study, which will be delivered in January 2012, includes a comprehensive review of current governance practice in clinical research networks, research into the attitudes and working approaches of network hosts and the application of good governance principles. NIHR have asked GGI to produce both guidance for the future and identify better practice where it currently exists. GGI will also be preparing a maturity matrix on the governance of clinical research networks, specific advice for the boards and audit committees of hosting organisations and key assurance questions for board members to be asking.

The study will include a workshop session with colleagues from clinical research networks and hosting organisations in January 2012.
