||Tom has been at GGI since 2014 and has moved quickly from Research Analyst to Team Leader in the Programme Delivery Team having joined in July 2014. He has a wide range of experience having undertaken internships for a number of organisations, from the Public, Private, Health and Voluntary sectors. Additionally, Tom has experience of working in a political environment, when he worked for an MP, providing support for their work on the Health Select Committee. Tom has further expanded his experience and knowledge within this area through working for a cabinet minister.
Tom graduated from the University of the West of England in 2012 with an undergraduate degree in Politics.
Whilst at GGI, Tom has worked on a number of projects. He has led the management and successful delivery of a number of governance reviews of NHS organisations. He recently managed a national investigation into whistleblowing within an NHS organisation, which resulted in interviewing and receiving contact from over 700 people and delivered findings to a ministerial level. This programme was recognised by both regional and national press. Tom is currently directing and supporting GGI’s two largest programmes of work to date, one of which involves the transformation of clinical governance at an NHS Trust, the other involving building healthcare governance systems in a region of Scotland.
Tom’s previous roles have allowed him to develop a number of skills and experience, ranging from improving efficiency within corporate services at Bristol City Council, developing a local and regional community development project for the Stroke Association and providing research and policy support for Tunstall Healthcare Ltd. Tom was also a member of the FPA Youth Advisory Committee during 2014.
Outside of work, Tom tries to keep fit through running, weightlifting at his local gym and Muay Thai. He has an active interest in politics and views this as a potential direction for his future career. Tom is an avid Wolverhampton Wanderers fan and tries to attend as many games as he can, around work.
