Sue Proctor

Sue has over 30 years’ experience in the NHS and Social care. She is an experienced Board-level manager and clinician with extensive experience in investigations into complex and sensitive adverse incidents, strategic planning and development, policy development, team building, managing change, leadership development, governance, financial management and creative problem solving.

Sue has held a portfolio of roles including becoming founding Director of SRP Business Consultancy, to work with boards and senior managers, assisting them to improve performance, and strengthen their governance and leadership impact. Sue is currently of the Chair of the NHS Savile legacy unit where she leads the team who will oversee any new NHS investigations into allegations of abuse by Jimmy Savile.

Some of the non-executive roles that Sue has held include Harrogate & District NHS Foundation Trust, lay member Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, Chair of LEAF Multi Academy Trust and Council member at Leeds University. Sue has also previously been a Lay Member and Chair of Audit & Governance Committee for Hambleton, Richmondshire and Whitby CCG.

Sue is qualified as a registered nurse with a Masters of Science in Nursing from Bradford University where she then went on to complete a PhD in Management; Health Care Marketing.
