||Donal joined GGI as a Researcher in 2013, and has since risen to the position of Team Leader, Service Development. Donal provides management support for various projects, which have included the ‘commissioning for quality’ initiative with South London Commissioning Support Unit, and GGI’s assurance support for Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
As Team Leader, Service Development, Donal works to ensure that GGI responds to the needs of our customers, and continues to develop and expand upon the governance body of knowledge.
Previously working as Team Leader for Knowledge Management, Donal was involved in developing GGI’s range of publications and projects that contribute to the body of knowledge. This included establishing updated guidance on Clinical Audit and Good Governance in collaboration with HQIP, and a report on the quality and safety implications of telehealthcare services which GGI is producing in partnership with Datix.
Donal obtained his first degree in economics from University College Dublin, before completing graduate studies in sociology at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where his research focused on social attitudes to reproductive rights in the Republic of Ireland. He is passionate about implementing positive social change through improved governance standards in health and social care, and is a keen runner in his spare time.
