Annette Furley

 

Annette is a strong, experienced leader, working at the highest level in complex statutory, charitable and commercial sector organisations for over twenty years. She is an experienced mentor and has a coaching certificate. With over 30 years in the health, community and care services and regeneration, and having been a board member of national and local charities Annette has a breadth of  organisational, governance, service delivery and financial management experience. She has a detailed knowledge of how the public sector operates -  primary care and local government in particular. As well as extensive expertise in developing organisations and change management she also has a reputation for delivery and improvement and creating successful organisations. She has experience of establishing and developing organisation’s governance structures.

Broad experience as a senior manager in the public sector includes: NHS Director of Primary Care Services; Organisational Lead for assessing all public sector bodies (CAA) at Audit Commission; NHS Director of Finance and Resources; Project Manager leading merger of three major
hospitals; Interim Manager at Office of Public Guardian.

Extensive senior management experience in the third sector includes: Chief Executive of an Community Regeneration Charity, Director of a Healthy Living Centre Charity; Leading a review of a hospice’s Clinical Governance arrangements; manager in  a national homelessness charity; Trustee of a national HIV/AIDs charity and of a leading edge community organisation.

She holds a Masters Degree in Organisational Behaviour/Psychology, has three Nursing qualifications and a Certificate in Coaching.
